Vanishing pavements

Hub city has actually become a hub of issues. Vendors and shopkeepers keep their stuff out of their shops, thereby occupying an extra area of, say, 4-5 feet, resulting in severe road constriction. The pavements, as such, are no more available to the pedestrians who are forced to walk on the roads. This results in risks to both the pedestrians and the motorists on the roads. The municipal authorities in the city should come out of their slumber.
