Israr Khan’s Oxford Union presidency hailed as a milestone by PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday congratulated Israr Khan on his election as president of the Oxford Union for the Hilary Term, 2025.

“This is a huge achievement for a student from Balochistan, Pakistan, and is a shining example of hard work and perseverance,” stated the Prime Minister, expressing pride in Khan’s accomplishment and extending best wishes for his tenure.

The Pakistan High Commission in London also praised Israr Khan for representing Pakistan on the international stage. “This is a significant achievement for a student from Balochistan, Pakistan, demonstrating hard work and talent,” commented High Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Faisal, who also wished Khan well during his term.

In response to the accolades, Israr Khan expressed his gratitude: “I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and kind words. While I haven’t been able to thank everyone personally, please know I appreciate each of you reaching out. I will make sure to use this platform for good. Thank you, everyone.”
