PPP leaders, workers commemorate Benazir Bhutto on 72nd birthday

SUKKUR: Sukkur celebrated the 72nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto with enthusiasm on Friday.

A commemorative ceremony was held at Sukkur House, where PPP workers cut a birthday cake.

The event saw the participation of prominent PPP figures including Senator Islamuddin Sheikh, Mayor of Sukkur Arslan Sheikh, MNA Noman Islam Sheikh, Deputy Mayor Dr. Arshad Mughal, and Abid Gul Mahar, along with a large number of party workers.

Participants paid tribute to Benazir Bhutto’s enduring contributions. Senator Islamuddin highlighted the PPP’s history of sacrifices for democratic stability in Pakistan and described Benazir Bhutto as a champion for the poor and oppressed.

Mayor Arslan Sheikh echoed these sentiments, emphasizing her visionary policies on women’s rights and national unity. Deputy Mayor Dr. Mughal praised her global stature and her efforts to advance Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.

The ceremony also included prayers for Benazir Bhutto’s eternal peace and reflections by PPP leaders and workers on the legacy of their martyred leader.
