Series of unidentified bodies discovered across Lahore during Eid celebrations

LAHORE: During the Eid holidays, a disturbing discovery of 26 unidentified bodies was made across various locations in Lahore.

The Lahore police reported multiple incidents, including the recovery of a 50-year-old woman’s body near Qainchi Stop in Kot Lakhpat area, and two bodies in the Millat Park area.

Additional discoveries include the bodies of a 70-year-old man in Green Town, a 45-year-old man near the Nawab Town Expo Centre, and a 55-year-old man in the Ghalib Market area.

Further reports noted a 35-year-old man found near the Sabzazar Metro Orange Line station in Allama Iqbal Town, with another body in the same market area. The body of a 60-year-old inmate from Camp Jail was reported deceased during hospital treatment.

Other recoveries include bodies in the Shahdara, factory area, Naseerabad near the Railway gate, High Court Chowk Mazang, Ichhra near Pakistani Chowk, Qaiser Town, Nishtar Colony on Ashiana Road, Township near Chandni Chowk, Australia Chowk, Mughalpura, Ali Park in Tibby City, Gawalmandi, and the Sabzi Mandi on Ravi Road.

This series of incidents has raised concerns about public safety and law enforcement efficacy in the city.
