Police shootout in Sheikhupura leaves two robbers dead

SHEIKHUPURA: In a recent confrontation in village Gajiana Nau, two alleged robbers, previously involved in injuring Elite Force personnel, were killed during an exchange of fire with police.

This incident occurred on Sunday, adding to the list of confrontations between law enforcement and alleged criminals in the region.

The encounter resulted in the deaths of two individuals wanted by the police for multiple offenses. Following the shootout, the bodies were transferred to a local mortuary, where they will remain until the completion of legal procedures and can be released to their families.

In a separate incident, a severe traffic collision involving a family occurred near Chaudhry Stop on Lahore road.

A car, reportedly speeding, lost control and collided with a hay-laden truck. The crash resulted in serious injuries to five family members: Shaukat Masih, 55; Irshad Bibi, 50; Niamat Masih, 62; Nasreen Bibi, 62; and 8-year-old Andlia.

Rescue teams quickly responded to the accident site, providing immediate assistance and transporting the injured to a hospital for further treatment.

Authorities have since impounded both the car and the truck involved in the accident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
