Shafqat Amanat Ali disappointed by people for making Chahat Fateh Ali famous

Singing maestro Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan recently expressed his disappointment in Pakistanis for making Chahat Fateh Ali Khan popular.

Chahat Fateh Ali recently gained massive popularity after his song “Bado Badi” went viral, receiving 28 million views. Despite YouTube removing the song, Chahat re-uploaded it on Instagram, leading to numerous concert invitations and interviews.

In a recent interview, Shafqat expressed frustration with Pakistanis for promoting entertainers like Chahat, arguing that it undermines genuine artistic talent.

This criticism highlights a growing debate within Pakistan’s entertainment industry about the influence of social media on celebrity culture.

Talking about it, he said, “I feel so sad after seeing him, we have started making fun of singers. Just because of Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, our singers are being degraded, many people still believe that he is a singer and they say,’he has released a new song’. Please have a heart, he is making fun of your country’s music and singers. I will blame our people, they love to see such entertainment. They need cheap entertainment, they will appreciate a weird and funny artist instead of a real one. We will see the repercussions of it in future, they will realize their mistake.”
