According to the military’s media wing, an exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists on 9 July 2024 in the North Waziristan district.

“During the fierce engagement, the Pakistan Army troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, as result of which two terrorists were gunned down,” the ISPR said.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, Captain Muhammad Osama bin Arshad, 24, resident of Rawalpindi District, embraced martyrdom.

On the other hand, another fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists in South Waziristan district, the ISPR reported another press release.

The military’s media wing said that during intense exchange of fire, three brave soldiers: Sepoy Asad Ullah, 30 years, a resident of Mitiari District; Sepoy Muhammad Sufyan, 28 years, a resident of DI Khan District and non-combatant bearer Zain Ali, 24 years, a resident of Bahwalnagar District, having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat.

The military’s media wing said that sanitisation operation was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
