Kashmiri resilience unbroken by repression, says APHC

SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has declared that India’s occupation of Kashmir challenges the international community, calling for the resolution of this enduring conflict in line with UN resolutions and the desires of the Kashmiri populace.

As per the Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas stated in Srinagar that no degree of killings, arrests, or torture would deter Kashmiris in their pursuit of freedom. He emphasized the community’s determination, asserting their readiness to withstand Indian forces rather than surrender.

“The Kashmiri people remain determined in their effort to free their land from Indian control, actively opposing BJP/RSS efforts to enforce Hindutva ideologies in IIOJK,” affirmed the APHC.

The spokesman criticized the Modi administration’s inability to quash the Kashmiris’ freedom aspirations, noting their firm resolve to continue resisting Indian dominance. He stated that Kashmiris are prepared to keep making sacrifices until they attain independence from Indian rule.

The APHC spokesman also highlighted the unity among Kashmiri people in opposing India’s malicious tactics in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, celebrating their strong rejection of Indian dominance. He pointed out that the ongoing struggle is a critical period in Kashmir’s history, predicting imminent freedom for the region.

The release concluded with a call for India to free all political detainees, including Hurriyat leaders and young activists, and urged the UN to actively engage and settle the Kashmir issue according to its directives.

Additionally, posters have emerged in various parts of IIOJK critiquing the Modi government’s religious prejudice against Kashmiri Muslims.

These posters argue that while Hindu pilgrims receive special treatment, Kashmiri Muslims face restrictions on their religious practices, especially during key events like Muharram. The posters denounce these limitations, underscoring a rejection of Hindutva-driven communalism.
