In a 2010 interview, the Princess of Wales recalled the sparkling feelings from their first encounter.
Prince William struggled to remember the moment, admitting he’d have to “rack his brains,” but Kate Middleton vividly recalled it.
She said, “I actually went bright red when I met you and scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you!”
The Princess of Wales then told the interviewer that Prince William wasn’t present for a significant part of the initial time. He missed Fresher’s Week, but they became very close friends quite early on.
