The Met Department has forecasted another spell of monsoon rains starting from today, providing a glimmer of hope for relief from the heat. However, until the rains arrive, the city’s sweltering conditions persist. Humid weather conditions also prevail in the city.
Load shedding remains a significant issue, affecting various areas across Lahore. Residents in China Scheme, Sabzazar, Federal Colony, and Green Town report frequent and unannounced power outages, exacerbating the discomfort caused by the oppressive heat.

Meanwhile, in Karachi, the monsoon season has entered its third day, bringing much-needed rain but offering little respite from the city’s intense heat.
Despite the clouds and rainfall, the temperature remains high, with the Met Department forecasting a possibility of light rain today.
Karachi is experiencing partly cloudy, hot, and humid weather conditions. The chief meteorologist confirmed the likelihood of rain in Karachi today, following the heaviest rainfall in Surjani Town yesterday.
Looking ahead, the next spell of monsoon rains is expected to hit Karachi after July 20. In the meantime, the city continues to grapple with sweltering temperatures, which are predicted to reach up to 37 degrees Celsius today.
