Why is the ICC sending another delegation to visit Pakistan?

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to dispatch another delegation to Pakistan.

The delegation is meant to assess preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy, scheduled to take place in February next year.

Sources revealed that the event inspection team, which will include event managers, is likely to visit Pakistan between September and October. The ICC has established a routine practice of visiting countries set to host its global events to ensure readiness.

So far, three different ICC delegations have visited Pakistan to evaluate the preparations for hosting the latest edition of the Champions Trophy. The inspections cover various aspects, including the preparation of grounds and pitches to meet ICC standards.

Pakistan last won the Champions Trophy under the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed.
