Govt and TLP reach agreement, Faizabad sit-in concluded

RAWALPINDI: The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has called off its sit-in at Faizabad, which was organized to protest against Israeli atrocities in Palestine, following successful negotiations with the federal government.

The decision to end the protest was announced during a joint press conference wherein talks were held between TLP leaders and the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah.

At the presser, Sanaullah highlighted the TLP’s commitment to protesting against Israeli aggression and the government’s condemnation of the war crimes committed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The government of Pakistan stands firmly with the oppressed in Palestine and will continue its support,” stated Sanaullah. He further revealed that Pakistan would be sending over 1,000 tons of food and medical supplies to Palestine by the end of July.

Describing Israel as a “terrorist state,” the advisor condemned the actions of Benjamin Netanyahu, particularly the bombing of innocent civilians in Gaza, labeling it as “inhumane” and contrary to the teachings of any religion.

Sanaullah also mentioned that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had strongly condemned Israel’s actions during the recent Shanghai Conference, emphasizing that the government would persist in denouncing Israel’s terrorism and supporting the Palestinian cause.
