Royal family in hot water as FBI implicates senior member in sex scandal

Prince Philip, the late husband of Queen Elizabeth, was implicated in top-secret FBI documents related to the 1960s Profumo affair.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Prince Philip was “personally involved” with Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice-Davies, central figures in the scandal that led to the government’s downfall.

A memo by former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover revealed details of the case, which ended John Profumo’s political career due to his relationship with 19-year-old Christine Keeler.

Despite Profumo’s denials, he was forced to resign after evidence of the affair surfaced within a few months.

Osteopath Stephen Ward had introduced Mandy Rice-Davies and Christine Keeler to John Profumo, allegedly to profit from the “immoral” payments made to them.

Ward, convicted in connection with the scandal, died of an overdose three days later.

In 1963, Thomas Corbally, a friend of Ward’s, claimed that Prince Philip was also “involved with these two girls.”

Prince Philip maintained a relationship with Ward and was even sketched by the artist in a portrait at Buckingham Palace.
