New, surprising details have emerged about Meghan Markle’s secret visit to the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex reportedly spent a few hours chatting with staff in the VIP Windsor Suite at Heathrow Airport during a visit to the UK in May.
Contrary to previous reports, Meghan Markle, the former Suits star, has indeed set foot on UK soil in the past two years. Meghan broke her 20-month absence from the UK on May 9 when she reunited with Prince Harry, who was in London for his Invictus Games event, before they headed to Nigeria together.
“Meghan flew in from Los Angeles to meet Harry at Heathrow in May, which ended her absence from the UK,” a source revealed.
“Although it was just a short visit while she waited for Harry to join her for their flight to Nigeria, she still spent a good few hours in the VIP suite chatting with staff,” the insider told a private news outlet.
This revelation follows Harry’s claims in an ITV documentary that the behavior of British tabloids and security concerns are why Meghan won’t return to the UK.
The Sussexes also visited the UK in June 2022 for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, traveling with their children, now aged five and three.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Harry and Meghan’s children, have not made any further visits to the United Kingdom since 2022.
