The Duchess of Sussex has faced persistent rumors about a possible political career since she stepped down as a working royal, fueled by her extensive political and social involvement prior to marrying Prince Harry.
These speculations resurfaced recently when President Joe Biden announced he would not seek re-election and instead support Vice President Kamala Harris’s bid to become the Democratic nominee in the upcoming presidential election.
Natasha Livingstone, a commentator speaking on a private news outlet’s Palace Confidential, remarked, “If she were to keep her title, Duchess of Sussex, it would be a considerable problem for the Royal Family, who are famously non-political. Associating a royal title with any political role would be a complete nightmare for them, frankly.”
