Kashmiri leaders, PTI unite in support for self-determination at Islamabad meeting

ISLAMABAD: A delegation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK), led by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, visited the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) office in Islamabad on Sunday.

They met with key PTI figures, including former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Abdul Qayyum Niazi and former Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Khaleed Khurshid.

The PTI leadership warmly welcomed the delegation. During the discussions, Safi highlighted the need for patience and perseverance, particularly referencing the ongoing challenges in Kashmir. He strongly condemned India’s cancellation of Articles 370 and 35A on August 5, 2019, describing it as a breach of international law and the UN charter.

PTI leaders reiterated their solidarity with the Kashmiri populace and committed to supporting their fight for self-determination. They denounced the human rights abuses and other atrocities committed by India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The PTI leadership affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s quest for freedom.

The APHC-AJK delegation included prominent members such as Parvez Ahmad Advocate, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Ejaz Rahmani, Raja Khadim Hussain, Sheikh Abdul Mutain, Hasan Al-Bana, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, and Zahid Mushtaq.
