Arshad Nadeem’s hometown, Khanewal, is preparing to celebrate his triumph in grand style. The deputy commissioner (DC) of Khanewal shared that the district administration is organizing a hero’s welcome for Arshad upon his return. “Arshad Nadeem’s accomplishment is monumental. He has made Pakistan proud in Paris,” remarked the DC.
The jubilation isn’t limited to Khanewal alone; celebrations are in full swing at Arshad’s family residence. His former coach, Rasheed Ahmed Saqi, praised Mian Channu, Arshad’s hometown, as a hub of sporting talent. He emphasized that if the youth of Mian Channu diverted their focus to sports beyond cricket, they could achieve even greater heights for the country.
In a related celebration, the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) marked Arshad’s victory with a cake-cutting ceremony. To honor his historic win, the FDA announced that Arshad Nadeem would receive honorary membership at their Sports Complex.
Arshad Nadeem is set to return to Pakistan on Saturday, taking a flight from Paris at 10 a.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PST). His arrival is scheduled for 1 p.m. on August 11 at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, where he will be warmly welcomed by the provincial sports minister and officials from the Pakistan Sports Board.
Following his arrival, Arshad Nadeem is expected to embark on a celebratory tour of Lahore on a double-decker bus, allowing the city to share in the pride of his remarkable achievement.
