Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, a Pakistani writer and producer known for crafting numerous hit television dramas and films, has recently gained attention for his latest drama serial, Gentleman. Despite his success, Qamar finds himself embroiled in multiple controversies, yet he remains outspoken about the issues at hand. He is also known for voicing his opinions on various viral social issues.
Recently, Qamar appeared on the show GNN Kay Sang, hosted by Mohsin Bhatti, where he addressed several topics, including the ongoing controversy surrounding Barzakh. During the show, he also expressed his support for Maria B and her noble cause.
When discussing Maria B, Qamar stated, “I fully support her in this cause. She is a genuine woman who has been making significant efforts to preserve our religious and social values. I salute her. There is an agenda behind such movies, and we are heading in the wrong direction. Instead of falling prey to this Western agenda, we should focus on welfare work for our intersex community. The true goal is to seek acceptance of these ideas within our society. It’s disheartening to see actors, writers, and directors being used as tools in this agenda. I have spoken my piece on the matter, and Maria B is doing her part. I stand with her and support her efforts.” He further added, “She is right about the portrayal of homosexuality in the media industry. She is an honest person, and her facts may be accurate.”
