Writer and poet Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar is contemplating leaving Pakistan in the wake of a distressing video leak scandal that has left him emotionally and psychologically shaken.

In a recent television interview, Qamar openly discussed the turmoil he has faced following his abduction and the subsequent viral spread of a private video. The writer, best known for the acclaimed drama serial Mere Paas Tum Ho, expressed his deep love for Pakistan but admitted that recent events have caused him to question his future in the country.

“I have always loved Pakistan deeply, but these recent developments have shaken my faith in my place here,” Qamar said, his voice filled with emotion.

He continued, “I never imagined I would contemplate leaving my homeland. Yet, I find myself grappling with this painful consideration.”

Qamar shared that he is fervently praying for the strength to stay connected to his country, acknowledging the difficulty of imagining life away from the land he holds dear.

“I pray to Allah for the fortitude to endure this situation, as I cannot envision a life away from this soil,” he added.

He emphasized his commitment to seeking justice and his readiness to take necessary actions to hold the wrongdoers accountable.

When asked if he would change anything about his life, Qamar reflected on his experiences and remarked, “I would choose to live in an environment where mutual respect is a given. This notion is new to me and something I had not previously contemplated. Despite all that Allah has bestowed upon me, I find myself yearning for a place where respect prevails.”
