Hundreds rally in Swat to condemn attacks on police check-posts

SWAT: Hundreds of people from Ser Talegram and Malam Jabba took to the streets as part of a peace march to condemn the recent attacks on the police check-posts in the area.

The march was organized by the locals in the collaboration with the Matorizi Qaumi Jirga to highlight need for peace and raise voice against terrorist incidents in the area.

Hundreds of the people participated in the march, carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans expressing solidarity with the police and advocating for peace.

The march began from the Talegram police check-post and culminated at the Talegram petrol pump.

Speakers at the conclusion of the march, including Mukhtiar Yousafzai of Swat Qaumi Jirga, Adalat Khan of the Matorezi Qaumi Jirga, Naik Amal Khan of Talegram, Mian Sher Ali of Kishawra declared that the people of Swat stand with the police and would never allow anyone to disrupt the peace in the region.

They emphasized that they were ready to render any sacrifices to maintain peace in the region, urging the authorities to empower the police by granting them more powers and latest equipment. They also called on the police to focus on their duties and resist pressure from powerful quarters.

The peace march was organized by civil society groups to express solidarity with the Swat police and condemn the recent attacks on them.
