Social activist and ex-wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Jemima Khan, has revealed that she has had to block all emails from Pakistan due to cyber-harassment.
Jemima shared a statement on her Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter), attributing the harassment to opponents of Imran Khan. In her post, she wrote, “To friends in Pakistan legitimately trying to contact me. I have had to block all emails from Pakistan thanks to a cyber harassment operation, no doubt instigated by PTI’s desperate opponents. As Twitter/ X is banned in Pakistan by said desperate opponents, only those with VPNs will see this.”
Reflecting on the ongoing political tensions, Jemima commented, “Pakistani politics… the gift that keeps giving, even after leaving the country 20 years ago.”
Over the past few years, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supporters have protested outside the home of Jemima’s mother, in response to PTI supporters’ frequent protests outside Avenfield House, where Nawaz Sharif resided.
Jemima and Imran Khan share two sons, Sulaiman Isa Khan and Kasim Khan.
