PAS hosts moot on ‘Environment and Health Issues’ at UoS

SWAT: A one-day conference titled “Environment and Health Issues,” was organized by the Pakistan Academy of Science (PAS) in collaboration with the University of Peshawar and the University of Swat here at the University of Swat (UoS).

The chief organizer was Prof Dr Sardar Khan (FPAS and former Vice-Chancellor of KUST), and the chief guest was Prof Dr Hassan Sher (SAARC Gold Medalist), Vice-Chancellor of the University of Swat.

Prof Dr Hassan Sher welcomed the conference participants, and Prof Dr Sardar Khan provided an overview of the role of the Pakistan Academy of Science in advancing science and technology.

Renowned speakers and scientists from various universities, including Dr Saeed Yousaf and Dr Shahla Nazneen from the University of Peshawar, Dr Alia Naz from the University of Haripur, and Dr Anwarzeb Khan from the Department of Environmental and Conservation Sciences, University of Swat, offered valuable insights and presented their research on various environmental and health issues.

Prof Dr Anwar Hussain, the focal person of the conference, expressed his gratitude to Prof Dr Sardar Khan for organizing the event at the University of Swat. He also thanked the speakers and all participants.

At the conclusion, Prof Dr Anwar Hussain extended his appreciation to honorable VC, Prof Dr Hassan Sher for mobilizing the necessary resources for the conference.
