More deaths in Punjab than in KP due to monsoon rains: PDMA

According to the NDMA report, from July 1 to August 17, a total of 189 people have lost their lives due to heavy rains in the country.

In addition, 333 people were injured, including 137 children and 85 women. The rains have also caused significant damage to property, with 645 houses completely destroyed and 1,419 houses partially damaged. Furthermore, 8 schools and 35 bridges were damaged, and 323 animals were killed due to flooding.

It is pertinent to note that Karachi is experiencing light rain across various parts of the city, including Sadar, Numaish, Guru Mandir, and MA Jinnah Road. The Met Department had predicted this spell of light rain, with expectations for heavier rainfall from tomorrow.
