Prince Harry’s ‘visa issue’ gets major update as judge makes ruling

Prince Harry’s ongoing US visa controversy may have reached a conclusion after a judge reportedly made a decision in the case, as suggested by recent reports.

According to The Sun on Sunday, a new sealed document—yet to be disclosed to the public—was filed by Judge Carl Nichols in a US court. This document pertains to a case initiated last year by a Washington DC-based think tank that questioned the Duke of Sussex’s visa application, following his revelations about drug use in his memoir, Spare.

The report indicates that after four months of examining Harry’s immigration documents, Judge Nichols has now submitted his ruling in a Washington DC court. However, the details of this ruling remain accessible only to “authorized persons.”

Since 2020, Prince Harry has resided in the US, following his decision to step back from royal duties alongside his wife, Meghan Markle. However, his memoir, released in January 2023, stirred controversy when he admitted to past recreational drug use, including cocaine, marijuana, and magic mushrooms.

These admissions raised concerns about whether the Duke had declared his drug use on his visa application, as US law considers drug use a potential ground for visa rejection.

Earlier this year, the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, sought to make Harry’s immigration records public and filed Freedom of Information Act requests with the US Department of Homeland Security to obtain them.
