No change in gas prices until winter

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik announced that the current gas tariff will remain unchanged until the winter months of December and January.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, Malik dismissed rumors of a potential increase in gas prices. He highlighted that the Punjab government has provided relief by reducing the price by Rs14 per unit for consumers using up to 500 units, benefiting 98% of households.

Malik also mentioned the federal government’s earlier announcement of a Rs50 billion subsidy for consumers using up to 200 units nationwide.

On the political front, Malik urged PTI to move away from politics of arson and anarchy and engage in constructive dialogue to resolve issues.
