QUETTA: Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Sarfaraz Bugti, has issued a stern warning against terrorism in the province, declaring that terrorists will “face the music” and find no refuge in Balochistan.
This statement was made during a cabinet session where the Balochistan Assembly’s strong condemnation of recent terrorist attacks was reiterated.
Bugti highlighted the serious issue of terrorists targeting innocent civilians and emphasized that such acts of terrorism have no connection to Baloch ethnicity, as the Baloch have a history of following their traditions and engaging in warfare honorably.
Further, the Chief Minister refuted any ethnic biases in these attacks, clarifying that the victims were Pakistanis, irrespective of their Punjabi or Pashtun backgrounds.
He also stressed the importance of effective governance, announcing plans to ensure the presence of provincial government secretaries in every district.
In a move to foster education and development, Bugti announced that the government is set to sponsor bright students for studies at prestigious institutions like Harvard and Oxford.
He called on the Baloch people to distinguish between terrorists and nationals, reaffirming his commitment to serve the public diligently.
