Prince William has reportedly set a key condition before engaging in talks with his brother, Prince Harry. According to a source close to the royal family, William is open to reconciliation, but he insists on a “fresh start” where past conflicts and disagreements between the two will not be rehashed. This comes amid ongoing tensions between the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales, which have persisted since Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from royal duties nearly five years ago.
Although both brothers were present at their uncle’s funeral in Norfolk recently, they did not interact. Despite this, the source claims that both are willing to consider repairing their relationship. However, Harry is reportedly seeking an apology from William before he would consider re-engaging with the royal family.
Another factor complicating Harry’s potential return is his concern over security when visiting the UK. Harry has been outspoken about his dissatisfaction with the level of protection provided for him and his family. Until these concerns are addressed, he has stated that Meghan Markle will not return to the UK.
Markle has not visited the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.
