KP CM must know his limits and avoid vandalism in Punjab: Azma

LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has warned the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to live within his limits and avoid vandalism in Punjab.

While addressing a press conference in Lahore on Sunday, the provincial minister said politicians holding key offices need to follow the rules and regulations and no one would be allowed to do vandalism in Punjab.

Azma Bokharai further stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) violated the section 144 in Rawalpindi and law will take its course in case of violence and chaos.

She alleged that the KP’s ruling party was jealous of the progress and development being carried out in Punjab.

“Why don’t you stage protest in KP,” she questioned.

The provincial minister said that there are over 30,000 seats vacant for teachers in KP while the number of public sector universities are also on the decline.

Azma Bokhari said that Ali Amin Gandapur wanted to create rift between the Punjabis and Pakhtuns.

She said that the people of Punjab have rejected the politics of PTI as they are praise CM Maryam Nawaz for her performance.

Earlier, CM Gandapur claimed that they faced shelling and gunfire every three kilometers on their way towards Rawalpindi on Saturday.

The KP chief minister stated that he had spared Punjab police officers who got trapped while trying to resist the protestors from entering Punjab.

Gandapur warned that if fire against PTI workers was opened again, they would retaliate with force, stating, “If one bullet is fired at us, we will fire back ten, and if we are shelled, we will respond in kind.”
