Buckingham Palace shared a rare photo amid King Charles’s much-awaited tour to Australia.
On October 20, the royal family released a historic image of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip from the opening of the Australian Parliament in 1954.
Alongside the picture, the Firm reads, “The King and Queen are currently in Australia. The visit is His Majesty’s first to an overseas Realm as Monarch.”
“Tomorrow, Their Majesties will be welcomed to Parliament House in Canberra by the Prime Minister, Mr Anthony Albanese.”

For the unversed, King Charles began his tour of Australia alongside Queen Camilla on Friday night.
After attending a few engagements in Sydney, the King has started his Canberra tour.
In a message for the people of Australia, King Charles said in his powerful speech at the New South Wales parliament, “What a great joy it is to come to Australia for the first time as Sovereign, and to renew a love of this country and its people which I have cherished for so long.”
