10 FC personnel martyred in terrorist attack in D. I. Khan

D. I. KHAN: A tragic terrorist attack by the Fitna al-Khawarij group targeted a security check post in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, resulting in the martyrdom of ten Frontier Corps (FC) personnel.

Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack on the FC check post at ZAM and also denounced recent incidents, including gunfire directed at the SHO’s vehicle in Bannu and an assault on a sub-inspector in Kohat.

Naqvi paid tribute to the ten FC personnel who lost their lives during the assault in the Darazinda area, highlighting their bravery in confronting the terrorists. Among the martyred, six personnel were from South Waziristan, while four were from the Karak district.

In his remarks, Naqvi emphasized that the sacrifices of these brave soldiers serve to reinforce the nation’s unwavering resolve against terrorism.

In a related incident earlier in August, at least 11 policemen were martyred and nine others injured when dacoits launched a rocket attack on two police vehicles in the Machka area near the Punjab-Sindh border. The police vehicles were returning from a camp in the Katcha area when they were ambushed, leading to multiple casualties.
