‘Roads of ruin – Karachi’

The poor condition of roads in Karachi has become a serious problem, especially after the recent rains. Many streets are filled with deep potholes and waterlogged areas, making travel unsafe and frustrating for everyone.

The heavy rainfall has made an already bad situation worse. Flooded roads create traffic jams and pose risks to both vehicles and pedestrians. Drivers must navigate hazardous conditions, leading to accidents and vehicle damage. Pedestrians also face challenges, as they struggle to find safe paths through flooded sidewalks and uneven ground.

Additionally, the inadequate drainage system makes matters worse, causing water to pool on roads for long periods. This affects mobility and raises the risk of spreading waterborne diseases, impacting residents’ health.

Immediate action is needed to fix these road conditions. A solid plan for repairing and maintaining our roads, especially after heavy rains, is essential for the safety and well-being of all residents.

It’s important for local authorities to prioritize this issue and take steps to improve our roads before the situation gets any worse.
