Prince William breaks silence amid growing criticism over private estate

Prince William issued an important statement as the criticism revolving around his alleged secret earnings from the Duchy of Cornwall was unveiled.

The Prince of Wales, who is in Capte town, teamed up with Australian conservationist Robert Irwin for the Earthshot Prize Award.

In a new video message released on Instagram, William praised Robert as he is the brand ambassador of his passion project and shared that he is “looking forward” to the Prize Award on Wednesday.

While revealing his favourite African animal, he said, “It is a very tough question. My children ask me this regularly, I think I’m gonna have to say the Cheetah. Fantastic animal.”

Robert captioned the video, “A wonderful morning for a hike on the stunning Signal Hill, Cape Town, discussing the amazing conservation work happening here! I’m honoured to be part of the @Earthshotprize family, and can’t wait for the Awards tomorrow night.”

It is important to note that William’s message came amid the growing criticism over the revenue he is generating from his private estate, Duchy of Cornwall.

As per Channel 4’s Dispatches and the Sunday Times, the private estates of King Charles and William have earned millions of pounds through agreements with “public bodies and charities.”
