Cristiano Ronaldo Tipped for Potential Man Utd Return, Draws Comparison to David Beckham’s Post-Football Path

Teddy Sheringham believes Cristiano Ronaldo could still have a role at Manchester United under new manager Ruben Amorim, though he doubts Ronaldo would pursue a coaching path. While speaking to FlashScore, Sheringham suggested that Ronaldo, currently scoring consistently for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, might follow in the footsteps of David Beckham, focusing on high-profile ventures outside coaching.

“Ronaldo would be very welcome back at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim,” Sheringham said, adding, “but I think he’ll pursue bigger, global projects, similar to what Beckham has done.” Although a return in some capacity could be possible, Sheringham doesn’t foresee Ronaldo taking up a coaching role.

Meanwhile, Sheringham shared thoughts on United’s managerial choices, noting that he would have considered Roy Keane for the job. Although Keane hasn’t managed a team since his time at Ipswich Town, his outspoken punditry on Sky Sports has kept him close to the game. Sheringham added that he originally thought Gary Neville might have pursued a managerial path at United before his challenging tenure at Valencia deterred him.
