Brad Pitt Breaks His Press Tour Aversions for High-Octane F1 Racing Film

Brad Pitt is stepping out of his comfort zone to promote his upcoming F1 racing film, despite his aversion to press tours. Legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared at Liberty Media’s investor day in New York that Pitt is fully committed to the project, which is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2025. “Brad is really invested in this movie,” Bruckheimer said, adding, “He doesn’t like to do press, but I think we’ll take him on a world tour where he’ll be glad to show his efforts in driving and acting in this movie.”

The film, directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski, promises thrilling action and authentic racing drama, following Pitt as a retired F1 driver mentoring a rookie, played by Damson Idris. The production has worked closely with Formula 1, capturing real-life racing events and even featuring Pitt behind the wheel of F1 cars, highlighting the film’s dedication to realism. The actor has also been spotted at F1 races, further showcasing his enthusiasm for the project.

Bruckheimer hinted that Pitt’s involvement in the press tour may go beyond his typical red-carpet appearances, potentially including late-night interviews, magazine features, or even social media campaigns to appeal to younger audiences. Given the film’s summer release date, Pitt’s star power could be crucial in propelling it to blockbuster status, similar to his previous success with Moneyball, a sports drama that earned him an Academy Award nomination.

F1 will be available on AppleTV+ after its theatrical run, marking a significant collaboration between Hollywood and the world of professional racing. Fans eagerly await the chance to see Pitt’s passion for the sport brought to life on the big screen next summer.
