Jake Paul outboxes Mike Tyson, 58, in a controversial unanimous decision

Jake Paul, 27, defeated boxing legend Mike Tyson, 58, by unanimous decision on Friday night at AT&T Stadium, capping off a highly publicized clash that left fans divided.

Tyson, who showed visible signs of fatigue, struggled to keep up with Paul’s energy, landing only a few clean punches throughout their rounds. The lackluster performance drew boos from the crowd by the end of the eighth round, with many disappointed by the outcome.

The fight attracted a star-studded audience, including Charlize Theron, Joe Jonas, Shaquille O’Neal, Cedric the Entertainer, and Rob Gronkowski, among others. Paul made a dramatic entrance with his brother, Logan, in a lowrider to Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight,” a subtle nod to Tyson’s famous scene in The Hangover. Tyson opted for a more understated entrance, walking in alone with shorts bearing the name of his late daughter, Exodus, in her memory.

Pre-fight tensions were on full display during Thursday’s weigh-in at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas. The confrontation escalated when Paul, wearing shoes, stepped on Tyson’s bare toes, prompting the former heavyweight champion to slap him. Tyson later called the act intentional, saying it caused him significant pain.

Paul shrugged off the slap, mocking Tyson and promising a decisive victory. “He’s an angry little elf,” Paul taunted. “Tomorrow, he’s getting knocked out. It’s personal now.”

Despite the pre-fight drama, Tyson couldn’t keep pace with the younger fighter in the ring, leading to a unanimous decision in Paul’s favor. Fans can now relive the fight, which is available for streaming on Netflix.
