Jeremy Allen White lookalike contest winner praised for ‘nailing’ resemblance at Chicago event

Jeremy Allen White, star of The Bear, appears to have a true doppelgänger — at least according to attendees of a lookalike contest held Saturday in Chicago’s Humboldt Park. Nearly a dozen hopefuls donned white T-shirts and blue aprons to channel the actor, competing for a quirky prize: $50 cash and a pack of cigarettes.

Videos shared on social media captured the moment the crowned winner celebrated, raising his trophy, cigarettes, and ribbon in triumph. Fans quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions, with one user exclaiming, “Chicago’s got a Jeremy Allen White doppelgänger! Nailed the resemblance.” Another added, “Are we sure that’s not actually him?”

While most praised the winner’s uncanny resemblance, some were less convinced. “He sorta looks like him,” one viewer quipped. “But better than other contests we’ve seen.”

The Chicago event follows a wave of celebrity lookalike contests sparked by a viral Timothée Chalamet competition in New York City last month. That gathering attracted over 2,000 attendees and even a surprise appearance from Chalamet himself. Similar events celebrating Paul Mescal in Dublin and Harry Styles in London have further cemented the trend as a worldwide sensation.

The Jeremy Allen White contest stayed true to the quirky, fun spirit of the movement, with fans lauding its unique Chicago flair. While White himself didn’t make an appearance, the event captured the essence of fandom in the Windy City.
