JI emir calls for collective effort to address national issues

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Sunday called on all political parties to unite in a bid to restore peace and stability in the country.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi on Sunday, the JI leader emphasized the urgent need for collective action to address national issues.

Hafiz Naeem condemned the recent killing of the party’s general secretary from Bajaur, urging both federal and provincial governments to ensure the security of citizens. “Jamaat-e-Islami is the largest political party in Bajaur, and it is the responsibility of the authorities to protect the people,” he said.

In his remarks, the JI emir also cautioned against engaging in any proxy wars in the region, stressing that Pakistan should focus on its internal peace rather than external conflicts. He further called on the Afghan government to play a responsible role in achieving regional stability.

Addressing the ongoing issues in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Hafiz Naeem reiterated that political parties must come together to find solutions. “It is imperative that all political forces sit down and resolve the country’s problems collectively,” he said.

The JI leader also criticized the government for its handling of the economy and national affairs, pointing out that the worsening law and order situation was exacerbating the economic crisis. “The deteriorating security situation is having a severe impact on the economy,” he added.

Hafiz Naeem’s comments underline the growing concerns over national security and the urgent need for political cohesion to overcome Pakistan’s challenges.
