Beyoncé to Headline NFL Christmas Halftime Show in Houston

Beyoncé is set to take center stage during the NFL Christmas Gameday halftime show as the Houston Texans face off against the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 25. The performance, part of Netflix’s first-ever NFL broadcast, will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas — Beyoncé’s hometown.

This marks a special homecoming for the 43-year-old music icon, as she teased the announcement in a dramatic Instagram video on Sunday, Nov. 17. Set to the a cappella strains of her Cowboy Carter opener, “AMERIICAN REQUIEM,” the clip shows Beyoncé atop a vintage car adorned with red roses, catching a football while dressed in patriotic attire and a white cowboy hat. The video ends with a title card confirming her halftime show appearance.

The Christmas Gameday event will feature two games, with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first matchup. Beyoncé’s performance will cap off the festivities during the Texans vs. Ravens game, which will stream live on Netflix.

A Historic Year for Beyoncé

This announcement follows a record-breaking month for Beyoncé. With the 2025 Grammy nominations revealed on Nov. 8, she became the most-nominated artist in Grammy history with 99 nominations, surpassing her previous tie with husband JAY-Z, who has 88. Beyoncé also remains the most-awarded artist in Grammy history with 32 wins.

Her latest album, Cowboy Carter, earned 11 nominations, including her first-ever nods in country music categories:

  • Best Country Solo Performance: “16 CARRIAGES”
  • Best Country Duo/Group Performance: “II MOST WANTED” with Miley Cyrus
  • Best Country Song: “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM”
  • Best Country Album: Cowboy Carter
  • Best Americana Performance: “YA YA”
  • Best Pop Duo/Group Performance: “LEVII’S JEANS” with Post Malone

Beyoncé’s Anticipated Halftime Performance

The Christmas Day halftime show will mark Beyoncé’s latest high-profile performance, following her successful Renaissance World Tour. Fans are eager to see how the superstar blends her signature style with the NFL’s grand stage.

NFL Christmas Gameday will air live on Netflix on Dec. 25, promising a star-studded holiday spectacle.
