Kim Kardashian Criticized for Wearing Rosary Beads in Controversial Skims Campaign

Kim Kardashian is facing backlash from fans who accused her of disrespecting religion by wearing rosary beads while posing “half-naked” in her latest photoshoot.

On Friday, the reality star and entrepreneur shared images of herself modeling pieces from her Skims collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana. In the photos, Kardashian, a mother of four, donned a cotton unlined balconette bra ($84), cotton jersey boxer shorts ($78), and lace leggings. She accessorized the look with rosary beads and a cross necklace, styling her long black hair in a sleek, middle-parted look.

The shoot sparked controversy as Kardashian was pictured pulling down her boxer shorts, nearly exposing her lower area. Many fans took to social media to express their disapproval, particularly over the use of religious symbols in the provocative shoot.

“I don’t feel right with a rosary and this type of photo shoot,” commented one user on Kardashian’s Instagram post. Another added, “Why is she always wearing the cross when she’s half-naked?”

A third critic questioned, “Wearing a cross while being half-naked. Would you make a mockery out of other religions too?” Meanwhile, another commenter urged, “Have you ever researched the rosary before taking a half-nude picture with it? That’s beyond shameful.”

Others echoed similar sentiments, with one person stating, “Pls don’t play with the Holy Rosary,” and another remarking, “Nothing about you is holy. Take the rosaries off lol.”

Page Six has reached out to Kardashian’s representatives for comment but has not yet received a response.

Despite the uproar, Kardashian’s latest collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana has been a commercial success. When the line launched on Tuesday, the high traffic briefly caused the website to crash. Items like a leopard-print silk pajama set ($698) and a leopard-print catsuit ($248) remain available for purchase, though many pieces have already sold out.
