IED manufacturing hub dismantled in Kharan by FC Balochistan

QUETTA: Security forces uncovered an improvised explosive device (IED) manufacturing facility during an intelligence-based operation conducted in Kharan, Balochistan, on December 20, officials reported.

The Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan spearheaded the operation, leading to the discovery of a facility used for producing explosive materials. During the raid, security forces recovered a motorcycle rigged with 30 kilograms of explosives, allegedly intended for use within the Kharan area.

Two suspects were injured during an exchange of fire with security personnel. In addition to the explosives, security forces seized weapons and other contraband during the operation.

The operation, targeting the urban areas of Kharan, was carried out based on actionable intelligence. Authorities emphasized that efforts to ensure stability and security in the region would continue.
