Kate Middleton To Miss Special Family Milestone Amid Royal Engagement

Princess Kate will miss a special family milestone today as she joins Prince William at the Six Nations Rugby match between England and Wales.

Kate’s attendance at the match means she will likely be absent from her niece Grace Matthews’ fourth birthday celebrations. Grace, the daughter of Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton and James Matthews, will presumably celebrate the occasion with her siblings, Arthur and Rose, in Berkshire.

The royal couple will be at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, where they will support opposing teams in their official capacities. William, Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, will be backing Wales, while Kate, as Patron of the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League, will cheer for England.

Before the match, the couple is scheduled to meet with injured players supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust. This meeting will take place in the Sir Tasker Watkins Suite, a space dedicated to injured players and their families. William serves as Patron of the trust, which has supported rugby players in Wales since 1972.

Despite missing her niece’s birthday, Kate remains committed to her royal duties, as she and William continue their support for charitable organizations within the sport.
