Chris Hemsworth Faces Backlash After Sharing Controversial Photo of Son on Japan Trip

Chris Hemsworth is facing criticism after sharing a photo of his son making an offensive gesture during the family’s recent trip to Japan.

On Monday, the Extraction 2 actor posted a series of vacation photos on Instagram, capturing special moments with his wife, Elsa Pataky, and their three children—India Rose and twins Sasha and Tristan. The first two images showed the family enjoying the snowy landscape and strolling through the streets of Japan.

However, the third photo quickly sparked controversy. In the black-and-white image, Hemsworth’s son was seen raising his middle finger towards the camera, which led to a wave of backlash from fans.

One user sarcastically commented, “In western culture, showing your middle finger is a sign of respect… I guess?” Another critic questioned, “Nice thing to be teaching kids to give the middle finger really.” A third comment read, “Picture #3 makes me sad to see. Someone who is this young should not be showing this sign.”

The backlash has raised concerns over the appropriateness of the gesture, particularly given the actor’s large public following.
