Punjab Police officer Aisha Butt receives global recognition with IAWP award

LAHORE: Superintendent of Police (SP) Aisha Butt from Punjab Police has earned international recognition by being selected for the Excellence in Performance Award 2025 by the International Association of Women Police (IAWP).

SP Aisha Butt, who is currently serving as the City Traffic Officer in Gujranwala, has been honored for her exceptional contributions to policing and outstanding performance in her field. She will receive this prestigious award at the 62nd Annual Conference of the IAWP, scheduled to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, in September 2025.

The Excellence in Performance Award is presented annually to a female police officer worldwide, acknowledging her extraordinary service to society and the police force.

Punjab Inspector General (IG) Police Dr Usman Anwar congratulated SP Aisha Butt on her achievement, expressing that her success is a matter of pride for the entire police force, particularly for female officers. He praised her dedication and commitment to the profession, highlighting her as a source of inspiration for others.

In a recent post on X, Punjab Police lauded SP Aisha Butt’s success as a proud moment for all officers, especially for women in the force, showcasing her as an exemplary figure in the police community.
