ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Mohammad Yousuf, announced on Sunday that 90,000 pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj season under the government’s Hajj scheme.

During his visit to Lahore, the minister emphasized that the purpose of his trip was to review the arrangements for pilgrims, particularly as a large number would be departing from the city. “Pilgrims are the guests of Allah, and we want to ensure everything is in place to serve them to the best of our ability,” he said.

Yousuf further mentioned that additional instructions had been issued regarding vaccinations for the pilgrims, as well as other essential preparations for their journey. He also assured the public that the government was committed to providing the best possible services to the pilgrims over the coming months.

The minister highlighted that he had held discussions with Saudi authorities to finalize medical services, transportation, and accommodation arrangements for the pilgrims. He also briefed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on these preparations to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj season.

At a press conference at the Haji Camp in Lahore, Yousuf revealed that Hajj flights would commence on April 29. He assured the public that thorough arrangements were in place for the pilgrims’ facilitation.

Additionally, Yousuf stated that the first phase of Hajj training had been completed before Ramadan, and the second phase would begin on May 8 at Punjab University. Pilgrims from across the country will be trained to ensure they are fully prepared for their spiritual journey.
