Sherani tribe backs Pakistan Army’s efforts for peace in DI Khan

DARAZANDA: A large Grand Peace Jirga was held in the Darazanda area of Dera Ismail Khan, where tribal elders, religious scholars, teachers, and people from various walks of life gathered to show unity and support for the Pakistan Army.

The jirga was organized with the cooperation of the Pakistan Army and aimed to strengthen regional peace efforts. Participants of the gathering unanimously vowed to support the army in its mission to ensure security and fight against the Khawarij militants.

During the event, tribal elders paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army and other security forces for peace in the region. They also expressed their resolve to help authorities in identifying and stopping extremist elements and miscreants operating in the area.

The local Brigade Commander attended the jirga, highlighting the military’s ongoing role in peacebuilding and development. His presence also emphasized the importance of cooperation between locals and security forces.

Speakers at the jirga also praised the army’s efforts in promoting education, especially for girls, as well as improving healthcare facilities in the region.
