Once a vital lifeline for citizens in times of crisis, Madadgar 15, the emergency helpline of Sindh Police, has now become virtually non-functional in Jacobabad due to severe neglect and mismanagement. It had over 100 policemen and a dedicated in-charge officer, ensuring prompt response to emergencies and public safety concerns. However, officials sitting in Jacobabad have removed all policemen from the centre, leaving it with merely two or three operators and no dedicated law-enforcement personnel. This drastic reduction has rendered the service ineffective, leaving the locals vulnerable at the time of emergencies.
