SWAT: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Thursday inaugurated the Aghosh Center in Torwarsak area in Swat’s Buner district.

The Aghosh Center will provide shelter and a homelike environment to around 200 orphaned and destitute children.

Speaking at the event, the JI chief stated that this center will play a vital and exemplary role and is the result of tireless efforts of Jamaat-e-Islami, Alkhidmat Foundation, and local well-wishers.

Later, speaking to the media, Hafiz Naeem strongly condemned India’s water aggression and called it intolerable.

He urged patriotic Pakistanis to unite beyond internal differences and confront Indian hostilities head-on.

He highlighted Alkhidmat Foundation’s relief efforts for Gaza, stating that a major aid convoy worth Rs15 billion, consisting of 20 aircraft carrying medicines and essential supplies, will soon reach Gaza. He reaffirmed Alkhidmat’s commitment to standing with the oppressed Palestinians in difficult times.

All central, provincial and local leaders and workers of Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat Foundation participated in the inaugural ceremony.

Hafiz Naeem criticized India’s support for Israel, asserting that Palestine belongs to Palestinians and praising Hamas for its resistance in 2023 despite continuous bombardment. He called on Muslim leaders to wake up and urged the entire Ummah to boycott Israeli products.

On Kashmir, he criticized the heavy Indian military presence and expressed confidence that the Kashmiri freedom struggle will prevail, Insha Allah. He exposed India’s conspiracy to deprive Pakistan of its water rights and rejected any revocation of international treaties on water by India.

While acknowledging internal political differences, Hafiz Naeem emphasized national unity against external threats, saying: “If the country survives, we all survive.” He advised the government to build trust with the opposition for national stability.

He also praised Alkhidmat Foundation’s role during the COVID-19 pandemic and floods, and highlighted the Bano Qabil program, through which one million students are receiving IT education, including skill development for women at home.

Hafiz Naeem concluded by expressing his vision for expanding Aghosh and Bano Qabil centers across Pakistan to produce well-educated, responsible citizens who will serve the nation.
