LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Sunday reiterated the resolve to transform Punjab into a hub of Digital Innovation, saying the province is moving fast in the field of digital technology and online trade.
Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz was talking with a high-level delegation of World Liberty Organization (WLO), comprising Zarry Folkman, Zarry Witkoff and Chase Hero.
Bilal Bin Saqib, head of Pakistan Crypto Council, also attended the meeting. The chief minister discussed in the meeting matters related to blockchain innovations, tokenization, real world assets and stable applications. She also discussed a plan to promote blockchain technology in Punjab with the visiting dignitaries.
She reviewed tokenization of real assets, including minerals, agriculture, and Pakistan’s vast natural resources. She also discussed the implementation of a stable coin solution for transparency, better performance and security in digital transactions. She emphasized on the need for a better framework for remittances, financial transactions and global trade, and agreed to integrate Punjab’s economic and financial system with a decentralized financial model.
The chief minister appreciated innovative economic ideas of World Liberty Organization’s delegation. She expressed her commitment to make Punjab a regional leader in digital innovation.
CM M Condoles Death of Girl by Falling From Swing in Faisalabad
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz sought a report from Commissioner Faisalabad, while expressing a deep sense of grief and sorrow over the death of a girl who fell from a swing in Faisalabad. She offered condolences and extended her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
She expressed a deep sense of grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in Iran port blast. She prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured in Bandar Shaheed Rajai port blast.
