Girl dies after falling from swing in amusement park

DIJKOT: A 12-year-old girl died from a head injury after falling off a swing at an amusement park, prompting police to register a case against park officials. The victim’s father, Ghulam Mustafa, accused the swing operator of negligence, claiming the ride was started without proper safety measures.

According to the complaint, Hamna Mustafa lost balance as the ride began and the operator fled instead of stopping the swing, while the manager and contractor also failed to act despite being informed. She was taken to Allied Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Police registered a case under Section 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code against the park’s manager, contractor, and operator and temporarily sealed the park while searching for the suspects. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the Faisalabad commissioner to submit a report on the incident.
