MULTAN: Mango orchards across South Punjab are showing signs of a promising harvest this season, with experts and farmers hopeful due to healthy fruit development. Although the fruit is not yet fully matured, early observations suggest a strong yield if weather conditions remain stable.
Scientific Research Officer Abid Hameed said the overall condition of the mango crop was satisfactory, with fruiting appearing better than in previous years. He noted that hopper attacks had been reported in some areas but were under control with timely intervention.
Hameed urged farmers to adhere to recommended practices to safeguard and enhance crop quality. He highlighted that applying potassium at this stage is essential for improving fruit size, strengthening quality, and boosting overall production.
